ComboCurve: Diagnostics Metrics Manager

Diagnostics Metrics Manager

After initially running diagnostics, within the Metrics Manager we are able to select our streams, headers, and metrics we want to visualize within our desired widgets.

Metrics Manager

Metrics Manager is the settings used to control headers that are included in the scalar metrics table and each widget. Within the Metrics Manager we will be able to select headers, determine aggregation operations, and create custom metrics to display. This is important because only the criteria that is selected within this metrics manager will be available within each widget and displayed on the scalar table. Once you have run diagnostics and begin changing headers or metrics, you do NOT have to re-run diagnostics, the headers are already ran on the backend, the manager is just to toggle them on for display.

Select Headers

  1. Streams - Users have the option to toggle on which streams they want to display here within your widgets. Custom Streams will also appear here as our custom stream in this example above is "test ratio". Once toggled on and applied, the user will be able to switch between them in the diagnostics page.
  2. Diagnostic Metrics - Within the diagnostic metrics, users will be able to select metrics to view within the scalar table. Only the metrics that are selected will appear in the table. Keep in mind if you come back to the metrics manager and toggle more metrics on, you do not have to re-run diagnostics, they will just appear on the table.
  3. Diagnostic Time Series - These headers are within the time series widget and will display on the table for each phase that is toggled on.
  4. Headers - The same concept applies here within the headers, whichever the user selects here will appear in the scalar table to view. The difference here within the headers, is only the headers users have applied will you be able group by in various widgets. For example, within the time series chart, if we are grouping by County, this header would need to be toggled on from the metrics manager to show counties under the groups.
  1.      Company Custom Headers/Project Custom Headers - These options work the same as the default headers with the exception that these are user created headers wither from the Company level or Project level.

Aggregation

Under the Aggregation tab users will be able to select how their diagnostic metrics are aggregated under various operations. Users will be able to select Sum, Min, Max, Count, Average, First, and Last.
  1. Individual Settings - For the users diagnostic headers, we are able to assign aggregation individually by header. When clicking the "+ Field" box the user will then see all of their diagnostic headers that have been toggled on from the "Select Headers" tab. The results of the users selected operation will be visible on the widgets that are selected. For any questions on this, please refer to the first part of this document.

Custom Metrics

These will be custom formulas that the user is able to create using data snaps. You can use the "@" symbol to pull headers, Company/project custom headers, and diagnostics metrics to create your own formulas. Custom Metrics are available for the Scalar Table and Time Series table.

Configurations

Users are able to create configurations to save their Metrics Manager set up. Configurations will also be able to be used throughout the environment, and is used to be able to set up different metrics for different workflows. The configuration menu can be accessed at the top right of the diagnostics page.
