Overview
The goal of this document is to show how to manipulate a well's monthly or daily production data using the wells table. Here we can edit and delete production data without the need to reimport a well's production history.
Viewing Wells' Production Data
All well production data is available in the Project Wells tab across all ComboCurve modules. Select or filter wells in the Wells Table, the left-hand table, to display their production data in the Production Table, the right-hand table. You can switch between Monthly and Daily data by using the toggle at the top of the Production Table.
Editing Production Data
To edit a cell's value in the Production Table, simply click the edit button, select the cell you want to change, change the value, and click save.
Note: After saving, there is no way to revert to the original values other than reimporting the well's data or manually editing the value.
To edit multiple values you can copy and past from Excel by selecting edit, copy the rows from Excel and paste starting at the date in the time series as needed. Don't forget to save after pasting.
Deleting Production Data
It is very crucial to understand that when editing a cell's value like before by deleting the value in this column, it will NOT default to zero. Instead, a null empty gap in the data will exist. If adding a gap is not intended, the user must add 0s manually. Also, it is important to know that the user can delete rows from multiple wells at a time if multiple wells are selected. Lastly if the FPD date is changed by deleting it, the FPD used in ComboCurve will update automatically.
Now, to delete an entire row of production data, the user is provided 3 options in the Delete drop-down menu:
- Delete by Relative Time - Delete by a length of time or a date range
- Delete Selected - Delete by selected rows
- Delete All - Delete all production data entirely for that well
Deleting by relative time is a function that allows the user to delete rows based on dates. After selecting the Delete by Relative Time option, a menu will be prompted. There are two date selection logics:
- Relative - Certain length of time before/after a defined date (FPD or LPD)
- Range - An exact range of dates
For Relative you pick which date to start from, then select how many days, months, or years the user would like to remove before/after that date. Note: The user can define negative time values; this will simply delete how many days, months, or years before the set relative date.
For Range, just enter the exact start and end date the user would like to delete in between.
Important note: The Data Resolution toggle sets which data will be deleted. So if Monthly is toggled on it will only delete values from the monthly production. If both daily and monthly are selected, then it will delete for both data sets.
To select a set of production rows to be deleted, simply drag and highlight them, then click Delete Selected. User does not need to click edit, we are not editing specific cells here, instead deleting entire rows.
