An automatic update feature is preferred. There is no action needed on the customer side. The update will be performed automatically. If the ComboCurve support team detects any auto-update issue, they will contact you to resolve the issue.
An automatic update feature is preferred, but in some cases this is not possible on the customer side. The ComboCurve support team will notify you about the new version of the ComboSync Agent. If you have any problems with the manual update, please contact the ComboCurve support team.
1. Get the latest version of the ComboSync Agent from the ComboCurve support team
2. Copy installation package to Windows Machine
3. Unzip the downloaded installation package
4. Check Carbon.dll and unblock if needed
5. Run as administrator powershell script install.ps1
6. Set Agent’s Instance Name you want to update
– You can find it in the Windows Services Manager: “ComboCurve Data PROD” -> Instance name is PROD
– If there is no instance name, leave it empty
7. Select whether you only want to update or reinstall the service
– Use reinstall if you have technical problems with the service
– Use update if you want to update the service
8. Continue according to the instructions in the PowerShell script
